We first started running the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award within our District during the summer of 2012. Since then, we’ve supported hundreds of young people through their DofE journey, from taking their first steps at Bronze through to achieving the prestigious Gold Award.
The tables below show our progress over the years in two different ways. Completed Awards per Year shows the number of Bronze, Silver and Gold Awards that have been fully completed and awarded during each year.
Expedition Participants per Year shows the number of participants who have taken part in DofE expeditions at each level during that year. These figures represent expedition participations rather than unique individuals, so a young person may be counted more than once. For example, someone completing a Bronze expedition and later taking part in a Silver expedition during the same year would appear in both figures.
Together, these statistics give a picture of both the number of young people achieving their awards and the wider level of participation in our expedition programme since 2012.
