Paisley Challenge 2018

In dedication to a long standing Cub leader, Phil Paisley, who tragically passed away three years ago, this year we held our first celebration of his life as part of ‘The Paisley Challenge’.

The Paisley Challenge is a 1 day incident hike experience for Cub Scouts in Blaydon & District. This year we had 4 teams entered who all took part in 5 pirate themed activities. The activities were the idea of Phil, who sadly did not get around to running the competition himself.

The winning team from 1st Blaydon Scout Group

A huge congratulations goes to the winning team from 1st Blaydon Scout Group. Quite fitting as Phil, along with his friend Peter, helped keep 1st Blaydon Cub Pack open for a number of year during a leader shortage at the group. The team showed outstanding enthusiasm for all the activities which they took part in.

We’d like to say a huge thank you to all the participants of our first challenge, including Young Leaders & Leaders who came along to help run this fantastic event.
