Blaydon District are organising our first international trip in 10 years! From Friday 27th July, 70 Explorers, Network members and adult leaders will spend 10 days in the beautiful town of Adelboden.
We’ll be travelling by coach (and ferry) to our private chalet in the town of Adelboden. From there, we’ll be white-water rafting, hiking in the mountains, climbing, visiting Kandersteg International Scout Centre, swimming in outdoor pools, eating dinner at the top of the mountain, mountain tobogganing, visiting the local cities and more! There’ll also be plenty of free time to explore.
Many of the network members and leaders attending were there in 2008, so we’re excited to return with people who know the area and activities well. An addition to our 2018 programme is Blaydon District’s first visit to the Kandersteg International Centre – where Scouts from all over the world visit taking in each others cultures, stories and ideas. Combined with our leadership team and JEKA (our trip providers), we’ll be putting together an amazing programme and creating some wonderful memories to hold onto for years to come.
