Big thanks to all those leaders who came along at the weekend and to those who worked behind the scenes ensuring that this year’s camp was such a massive success. A huge thanks also to all those parents and grandparents camping with us at the weekend, certainly the event would struggle to operate in the way it did with out this support. On Sunday afternoon it was remarked that we could stay for enough week the way the catering team were running like a welled oiled machine.

A well deserved thanks to all involved no matter how small or big your part was, it worked and hopefully the young people enjoyed them selves and took away some good memories, friendships and learnt some new scouting skills. A special thank you goes out to the business who helped support this years family camp. We’d also like to thank DJ-Shaz who lent us her bouncy castle all weekend free of charge – massive thank you to her.

All ready planning for 2012 has started and with a theme and ideas for new activities, so if you’re a parent / grand parent and enjoyed the weekend, and if you’re not already involved in scouting please speak to your local leader and discuss the many opportunities scouting has.
